The Ballistic Nylon and oil-shrunk leather used in the Day Pack Neo are highly durable and significantly thicker than usual. When using such materials, the design must be as simple as possible. However, the Day Pack Neo incorporates all the necessary specifications without compromise. Therefore, its manufacture requires a factory with advanced technology, even within Japan.

We thoroughly examined the actions involved in using a backpack. In Kaiyo Town, located on the southern coast of Tokushima Prefecture, there is a bag factory that produces the Daypack Neo. Apparently, there have been many bag and sewing factories in this area for a long time. We were fortunate enough to document the invaluable process by which these inherited techniques are transformed into solid craftsmanship in the products.

Main compartment

The main compartment features a PC pocket capable of holding up to a 16-inch laptop, along with pockets for a mouse, adapter, cables, and an external SSD drive. These can be stored without interfering with clothing or bulkier items.

Sub-pocket

The exterior sub-pockets include a large zippered pocket that can accommodate a notebook or tablet, and a smaller pocket for a smartphone or notepad.

Gusseted pocket

Gusseted pockets are located on both sides. They can store a water bottle or a folding umbrella. The bottom is made of mesh, ensuring ventilation even if the inside gets wet from condensation or other sources.

Among the fabrics made by INVISTA in the United States, "CORDURA® Ballistic Nylon" is used in outdoor and other scenes where durability is required. With its robust specifications, strong enough to be used in bulletproof vests, it boasts one of the strongest classes of fabrics. Despite its military specifications, it is utilized in a variety of general products.

Ballister Nylon is a Japanese-made fabric created domestically with such robust military specifications. Moreover, it is made even stronger by using a thicker thread, 2520D, which is thicker than general ballistic nylon on the market.

This fabric, boasting one of the strongest levels of strength among domestically produced materials, truly showcases its appeal when integrated into a product like a bag, exceeding its catalog specifications. Let's explore the charm of Ballister Nylon.

Fabric strength is thread strength

The material used in WONDER BAGGAGE bags, Ballister Nylon, is one of the strongest fabrics produced in Japan.

The threads used to make the fabric are "ultra-strong 66 nylon threads" originally used for military purposes in the United States, which are then twisted together. As mentioned earlier, the denier count (D), which indicates thread thickness (mass), is 2520D. To show just how remarkable this number is, we've prepared a magnified comparison image with a common 420 denier nylon. You can immediately see the overwhelming difference in the size of the thread particles.

The strength of the threads used to create a fabric directly translates to the strength of the fabric itself. Furthermore, its appearance also influences the product's look, creating a unique presence.

Typical nylon fabrics range from thin at 210D, common at 420D, and thick at around 1000D. A value of 2520D indicates six times the strength compared to regular nylon (420D).

Ballistic nylon typically ranges from 1680 to 2100D, which is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard nylon. Ballister Nylon, exceeding these figures, demonstrates extremely high strength not only in Japan but globally.

Specification Introduction

Ballister Nylon is manufactured by a Japanese fabric maker and undergoes various comparison tests at public institutions.

As you can see from the tables, Ballister Nylon boasts several times the strength compared to general nylon materials (420 nylon ox). Its robust strength, even adopted for bulletproof vests, is truly remarkable. Furthermore, as a bag brand, its excellent resistance to melting from heat, which is a weakness of nylon, cannot be overlooked.

Data shows that in a cigarette press test at approximately 800 degrees, it withstood penetration for 30 seconds. We believe these various specifications will help you understand that it is a material that can be used with confidence.

Royal Navy

The navy color of Ballister Nylon used by WONDER BAGGAGE is the brand's original Royal Navy. While regular in-line navy colors often have a strong green tint, this Royal Navy has a slight reddish hue, giving it a dignified impression.

Nylon that ages gracefully

Ballister Nylon is manufactured in Japan. The weaving density and precision during the fabric production process are high, giving the fabric itself firmness and body, which in turn provides high self-standing capability when made into a bag. Furthermore, Ballister Nylon is a rare nylon material that undergoes aging, gradually softening and becoming more familiar to the user with continued use.

To help you use your bag for as long as possible, we introduce care instructions for the nylon and leather parts of the main body.

Important Notes
We do not recommend washing your bag by hand or in a washing machine. Applying stress to the bag while it is wet can cause it to lose shape or be damaged.

Nylon

This applies to all nylon materials used in WONDER BAGGAGE bags. Generally, no daily maintenance is required. If it gets dirty, please try the following:

2. Dry it in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

※Leaving it wet may accelerate the deterioration of the PU material on the back of the fabric.

【What you need】 Leather brush, cloth, cream

Care Instructions
1. Brush off dust from the surface.
2. Apply a small amount of cream to a soft cloth and quickly spread it thinly over the entire surface.
3. Dry it in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

The key is to brush off dust first.

Cream

Too much cream can cause stains, so adjust the amount little by little.

Waterproof spray

Using a waterproof spray (outdoors) as a finish can help maintain its appearance even better.

If it gets wet

Care Instructions
1. To prevent color unevenness, immediately wipe the entire surface gently with a firmly wrung cloth.
2. Dry it in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

If it gets dirty

Care Instructions
1. Apply remover to a cloth and spread it over the entire surface to lift the dirt.
2. Apply a thin layer of cream to moisturize the leather.
3. Gently wipe with another cloth to remove excess cream.

1. After removing dirt with a brush, apply cream with a cloth.
2. For fine details, using a brush helps the color penetrate better.
